Our build process is composed of three main phases, all of which you, the client, will have creative control of from beginning to end.
Step 1. VISION. Your camper van build process will begin alongside one of our build specialists, who will mentor you throughout the design phase.
Step 2. 3D BLUEPRINTS. This is when you begin to perfect your campervan design and placement of the components to your desired van specifications.
Step 3. BUILD. The Boulder Campervans crew will begin preparing your chassis and handcrafting each component of your build, with your guidance and involvement throughout each step.
*we currently only work on Mercedes Sprinter or Fort Transit chassis.
It currently takes our Boulder Campervans crew about 10-12 weeks (or 2 and a half to 3 months) from start to finish to complete a custom camper van build. Model Van conversions typically take about 2 and a half to 3 months to complete, though this can vary depending on which layout is chosen and upgrades/additions requested by the client.

Please give us a call at (303) 539-6996, or email info@bouldercampervans.com to see when we have availability to start your build. A $1,500 non-refundable deposit is required to get on the Boulder Campervans van build schedule.
Once we have completed your 3D blueprints with your approval, we require 2 stages of payments: first, 75% of your van build cost is due 3 months before build start date. Then, the final 25% of your van build cost is due when your build is complete.
We offer 3D camper van blueprints on all of our BCV custom builds. We will go back and forth until your dream camper van is perfect and has everything you are looking for. From material, fabrics, colors and placements, we want your build to be tailored to your specific wants and needs. This process can take 1-2 months of just designing, depending on the details of your build.

The main factors in deciding what drivetrain to choose when purchasing a van are terrain and weather conditions.
4x4/AWD vans are going to be costlier for the client during the initial van purchase.
We have found that 2WD vans are very capable on most unpaved or forest service roads, as long as you are operating it in dry conditions.
Please note that with camper vans being as heavy, long, and tall as they are, will never be able to handle serious off-roading.
4X4/AWD vans are ideal if you live in, or plan to travel to, a wet climate or once the snow falls, as they may give you better traction and peace of mind when traveling regularly.

We do not offer financing in-house at Boulder Campervans. However we do have a great partnership with Southeast Financial and Trident Funding who is able to provide consumer-direct financing. Financing with Southeast Financial is available once you are able to provide them with blueprints for the build and an invoice.
We recommend scheduling the campervan design meeting as early as possible to avoid delays in the financing process.

Yes we do! Van pop-tops are always a great option for extra sleeping space and panoramic views on your adventures.
Yes! All custom van builds at Boulder Campervans are four-season insulated. This means that our campervans are double-insulated on the ceiling and walls, the floor is insulated, and the battery and water tank(s) are covered in heating pads for extra protection during the colder months. Dropping your vehicle off early may also expedite part of the process as our technicians will be able to slowly work on it over time in-between projects or while waiting for parts on other vans.

Yes! If you see a build listed in our custom campervans that we've previously created, we're happy to work on the design and specifications with you to create a similar van build.
Absolutely! We are all about inclusivity here at Boulder Campervans, and we're happy to work with our clients to ensure your van works for your specific needs. We have built vans for clients in wheelchairs and with other disabilities in the past. And we will do our best to create a custom converted van that works for clients with disabilities.

As a reseller, we operate in accordance with the return policies established by our vendors. Boulder Campervans disclaims any direct responsibility or liability for the products we sell, as we are not the manufacturer or originator of these products. Any claims or issues arising from product quality, functionality, or defects must be directed to the respective vendor or manufacturer, in line with their stated terms and conditions.
The products must be in new condition and arrive back at our facility in new condition. Parts that have been used or installed are not eligible for return. Returns and what is an error or defect is at the sole discretion of Owl.
**RETURN PROCESS**

**Return Shipping Options:**
- Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs and any applicable restocking fees, as outlined in the supplier’s terms and conditions.

**REFUNDS**
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund or exchange. Please allow up to **30 days** from the receipt of your item for processing. Refunds may take **1–2 billing cycles** to appear on your credit card statement, depending on your card issuer.
