What is your build process?

Our build process is composed of three main phases, all of which you, the client, will have creative control of from beginning to end.

Step 1.  
VISION. Your camper van build process will begin alongside one of our build specialists, who will mentor you throughout the design phase.

Step 2.  
3D BLUEPRINTS. This is when you begin to perfect your campervan design and placement of the components to your desired van specifications.

Step 3.  
BUILD. The Boulder Campervans crew will begin preparing your chassis and handcrafting each component of your build, with your guidance and involvement throughout each step.
*we currently only work on Mercedes Sprinter or Fort Transit chassis.

How long does it take to complete a conversion?

It currently takes our Boulder Campervans crew about 10-12 weeks (or 2 and a half to 3 months) from start to finish to complete a custom camper van build. Model Van conversions typically take about 2 and a half to 3 months to complete, though this can vary depending on which layout is chosen and upgrades/additions requested by the client.

All of our camper vans are handcrafted and custom designed to our clients' specifications and requests. Our van price at Boulder Campervans typically ranges from $100,000 - $175,000.

How do I get on the Boulder Campervans schedule?

A $1,500 non-refundable deposit is required to get on the Boulder Campervans van build schedule.

Once we have completed your 3D blueprints with your approval, we require 2 stages of payments: first, 75% of your van build cost is due 3 months before build start date. Then, the final 25% of your van build cost is due when your build is complete.

Do you offer blueprints?

We offer 3D camper van blueprints on all of our BCV custom builds. We will go back and forth until your dream camper van is perfect and has everything you are looking for. From material, fabrics, colors and placements, we want your build to be tailored to your specific wants and needs. This process can take 1-2 months of just designing, depending on the details of your build.

Do your camper vans come with warranties?

Accepted Answer

With all of our custom camper van builds we offer a custom 1 year/12,000 mile warranty (whichever comes first).

What type of van should I get? 4x4/AWD or 2wd?

Accepted Answer

The main factors in deciding what drivetrain to choose when purchasing a van are terrain and weather conditions.

4x4/AWD vans are going to be costlier for the client during the initial van purchase.

We have found that 2WD vans are very capable on most unpaved or forest service roads, as long as you are operating it in dry conditions.

Please note that with camper vans being as heavy, long, and tall as they are, will never be able to handle serious off-roading.

4X4/AWD vans are ideal if you live in, or plan to travel to, a wet climate or once the snow falls, as they may give you better traction and peace of mind when traveling regularly.

Are your vans insulated for cold climates?

Yes! All custom van builds at Boulder Campervans are four-season insulated. This means that our campervans are double-insulated on the ceiling and walls, the floor is insulated, and the battery and water tank(s) are covered in heating pads for extra protection during the colder months. Does the van charge while driving?

Yes! Our campervans charge while driving. If you have solar panels installed on your campervan, your van will also charge whenever you're under direct sunlight.

Do you install suspension upgrades? Wheels and tires?

Yes! At Boulder Campervans, we are able to install full suspension upgrades, aftermarket wheels, and tires on your custom campervan build.

No, we do not install any engine modifications to our custom vans, as that would void your brand new van's manufacturer warranty.

We currently offer 3 types of campervan toilets for our van builds:
- Laveo Dry Flush
- Nature's Head Compost
- Cassette toilet

Do you install black water tanks?

We not install black water tanks. We do not recommend using stand-alone toilets as they are fixed, permanent, space-consuming, and there are better options for your custom campervan build.

Yes, you can! Dropping off your vehicle early may expedite the process as our technicians can work on it between other projects. If you're interested, please inquire further, and we'll be happy to assist you.

We currently do not offer van delivery at Boulder Campervans, but we may offer it in the future as we expand.

Yes! We are able to install custom aftermarket seats and captains chairs in custom sprinter van builds, such as Scheel-Mann.

How many people can sleep or sit in your custom vans?

In most of our custom van builds here at Boulder Campervans, we are able to provide seating and sleeping for up to 5-6 people.

What is your return and exchange policy?

As a reseller, we operate in accordance with the return policies established by our vendors. Boulder Campervans disclaims any direct responsibility or liability for the products we sell, as we are not the manufacturer or originator of these products. Any claims or issues arising from product quality, functionality, or defects must be directed to the respective vendor or manufacturer, in line with their stated terms and conditions.

The products must be in new condition and arrive back at our facility in new condition. Parts that have been used or installed are not eligible for return. Returns and what is an error or defect is at the sole discretion of Owl. 
 **RETURN PROCESS**

**REFUNDS**

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund or exchange. Please allow up to **30 days** from the receipt of your item for processing. Refunds may take **1–2 billing cycles** to appear on your credit card statement, depending on your card issuer.
